Business days. Refinishing that includes repair before recoloring may take a little longer. Call ahead during peak season for the fastest turnaround.

Diamond-Cut and Machined Wheel Refinishing

Many late-model Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi wheels have a machined or diamond-cut face: the bright, precision-cut metal surface paired with painted pockets. Most body shops cannot restore this finish, because it requires a dedicated precision wheel lathe rather than sanding and paint alone. Our shop is equipped to re-cut machined faces in house, along with full media blasting for complete strip-downs on corroded or peeling wheels. If your wheel has that mirror-machined look, we can bring it back.

Why Have Your Wheels Refinished at a Dealership?

Mercedes-Benz USA approves only cosmetic wheel refinishing: sanding, surface repair, and new paint coatings. Wheel straightening, welding, and re-machining of the wheel structure do not meet factory specifications, and we do not perform them. If we inspect your wheel and find a bend or a crack, we will tell you honestly and quote a factory replacement instead of putting a compromised wheel back on your car.

Every job also gets the details right: tires dismounted and remounted correctly, TPMS sensors handled and relearned, wheels balanced, and lug bolts torqued to factory spec. Your wheels go back on the way the factory intended, whether you drive a Mercedes-Benz or anything else.

How It Works

1 Inspect and quote. Send photos or stop by. We assess the damage and finish type and give you a firm price.
2 Strip and prep. Wheels are dismounted, stripped or media blasted as needed, and damage is repaired.
3 Refinish. Paint or machine cutting, depending on the option you chose.
4 Reassemble and inspect. Tires remounted, balanced, TPMS checked, torqued to spec, and quality checked before pickup.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wheel Repair

How much does it cost to fix curb rash on one wheel?

Repairing and repainting a single wheel with light scuffing starts at $250 at our Bloomington service center. Larger wheels, AMG wheels, and machined or diamond-cut finishes cost more because they require extra preparation.

How long does wheel repair take?

Most wheel repairs of up to four wheels are completed in 1 to 2 business days. Full four-wheel painting and color changes are typically completed in 2 to 3 business days. Turnaround can run longer during peak season, so call ahead if you need it fast.

Can you change my wheels from silver to black?

Yes. Automotive wheel painting all four wheels starts at $299 for a color change to black, bronze, gunmetal, or another color. If your wheels also have curb rash or surface damage, our refinishing and color change service repairs the damage first and starts at $499 for all four.

Do you repair bent or cracked wheels?

No. We perform cosmetic refinishing only, which is the only wheel repair method Mercedes-Benz approves. If your wheel is bent or cracked, we will identify it during inspection and quote a replacement wheel so your vehicle stays safe.

Do you refinish wheels on vehicles other than Mercedes-Benz?

Yes. We refinish wheels for all makes and models, including BMW, Audi, Lexus, Porsche, and domestic vehicles. You do not need to have purchased your vehicle from us.

Are AMG or diamond-cut wheels more expensive to refinish?

Yes. AMG wheels, wheels 20 inches and larger, and machined or diamond-cut faces require additional preparation and precision work, so additional charges apply. We confirm your exact price after inspection.

Do I need to leave my car, or can I bring just the wheels?

Either works. You can drop off the vehicle, or bring loose wheels if you have a second set. Call (952) 567-2180 and we will set it up.
