Mercedes-Benz maintenance runs on roughly a 12 month or 10,000 mile schedule, whichever comes first, with your vehicle's own system setting the exact due date. That leaves a long stretch between visits, and Minnesota weather does not wait for it.
The Health Scan sits at that midpoint. It is not a required service and it does not replace Service A or Service B. It is a look at where things stand at six months, so nothing surprises you at twelve. Most other makes run a similar annual cadence, and the scan is open to all of them.
How it works
Drive through. Nothing else required.
You pull into our service drive. The scan itself takes seconds. Your vehicle passes through an imaging system that captures it from every angle, including underneath, and the system flags what it finds.
The rest of the time is your advisor walking you through the results. Nothing gets recommended without a photo behind it. If something needs attention, you see it for yourself and decide. If nothing does, you leave knowing that.
Wheels and tires
All four wheels. Measured, not guessed.
Tread depth and wear pattern on every tire, captured to the same standard each time. Uneven wear can be an early sign of an alignment concern, and the scan flags it so your advisor knows to look further. We check your tire pressure while you are here.
Curb rash and rim damage get photographed and graded on all four wheels. Worth having on record well before a lease return or a trade appraisal, when condition becomes a conversation.

If you purchased this plan through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, your cosmetic wheel repair may be covered, often with little or no deductible. Coverage requires prior approval and depends on your specific plan, so bring your vehicle in and we will verify your coverage and handle the claim before any work begins.
Alignment
When the wear points to something else.
Tires rarely wear evenly by accident. When the scan sees more wear on one shoulder than the other, that is a symptom worth chasing, because alignment that is out by a small amount will quietly cost you a set of tires early.
The scan flags the pattern. It does not measure the alignment. If the wear suggests a problem, your advisor can put the vehicle on our alignment rack for an actual measurement. That is a separate service, quoted before any work begins, and entirely your call.
Undercarriage
The half of your car you have never seen.
Minnesota roads are brutal on the underside of a vehicle. Road salt, sand, and potholes leave marks that never show up on a walk-around.
The scan documents chassis and undercarriage condition, including corrosion and fluid leaks, before they turn into something expensive.
Body and paint
A record of exactly where you stand.
Dents, scratches, chips, and hail damage across every panel. Not an opinion, a documented condition record with a date on it.

Appointments are preferred so we can set aside dedicated time with your Service Advisor, but they are not required. Available to all makes and models. Any repair work identified during the scan is quoted separately and performed only with your authorization. If the car wash is closed due to weather, you will receive a voucher to use whenever it is convenient.

FAQ
Questions people ask
What does it cost?
Nothing. The scan, the advisor review, the washer fluid top off, the tire pressure check and the car wash are all complimentary. You pay only if you authorize repair work, and only after you have approved a quote.
Will you try to sell me something?
If the scan finds something, your advisor will show you the photo and tell you what it would cost to fix. That is the honest answer. What we will not do is recommend work we cannot show you evidence for, and you are free to leave with a clean bill and a clean car.
How long does it take?
The scan itself takes seconds. We block thirty minutes so your advisor has real time to go through it with you and so we can get your car washed before you leave. Thirty minutes at the most.
Do I have to leave my vehicle?
No. This is a wait appointment. Our guest lounge has coffee, snacks, Wi-Fi, and a children's activity center if you would rather sit down.
Do I need an appointment?
No, but we would rather you made one. Scheduling ahead means your advisor has dedicated time set aside to walk you through the results, which is the part of this that actually matters. If it is easier to just stop in, do that instead. We will take care of you either way.
Is this the same as a multi-point inspection?
They are different. The scan is a drive-through that captures things a technician cannot see by hand, like the whole undercarriage. A multi-point inspection is a technician going over the vehicle on a lift, checking brakes, fluids and the things the scan does not reach. If you would like both at the same visit, just ask and we will schedule it. We only need a bit more time to do it properly.
